Debra Newby Watkins, CPA is a member of the TXCPA and AICPA. She holds a Masters degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. As a young professional she worked at KPMG and then established her own practice in 1980.  Debra has served on the Austin Chapter of the Tax Conference Committee for many years and chaired it several times. She has been the Manager-Education & Leadership Chair in charge of the Austin Chapter of the CPE Foundation and represented Austin at state level CPE Advisory Board meetings.  Most recently, she served on the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA) Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She is currently the president of TXCPA Austin.
